Worth it Wednesday

TV

This isn’t a product like normal, but I thought it would be great to share some shows that have caught my attention lately. I know some people use the word obsessed when talking about stuff like this, but I think that’s overkill and there is nothing on tv that does that to me. I can admit I have lost a little sleep when something is good, but when it’s time to really go to bed my body doesn’t care if something I like is on or not.

Netflix has absolutely been something that has kept us entertained throughout the pandemic. While several services provide original shows, Netflix has provided some superior content. If you’re like me, you possibly get suggestions from others via social media. My most recent top two are::

  1. Clickbait: By far one of the best shows I’ve watched in 2021. I especially liked the idea that it was a limited series so there was closure. Sometimes when watching shows, it leaves you with more questions than answers and it’s over. This is probably the first series I’ve watched that reminds me of what happens when I read a really good book. I felt like each episode was a different chapter offering a varying perspective of the same incident. It was wonderfully written and each actor played his/her role well. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
  2.  Squid Game: Social media has been buzzed with this lately and quite honestly, it’s worth it. I was absolutely engulfed the entire time watching. There’s definitely twists you don’t see coming and it keeps you on your toes. Is it violent…YES!! If you’re weak on the stomach, it may not be for you. I personally did have a moment or two that I needed to put my hands over my eyes (no peeking) because I still can’t watch some things even if I know it’s fake. I highly recommend to those that enjoy binge watching shows with action because that’s basically every single episode.

These are the only two I’m including because I do my best not to get too wrapped up into television because I have things that I want/need to accomplish and when things get too good I won’t do anything else. I have ridden my exercise bike while catching up on an episode of Squid Games, but sometimes I just want to focus on the show so I don’t miss details. What shows/movies have caught your attention lately that you’d recommend?
