Worth It Wednesday

Product: Boka (Mindful Oral Care)

First Thoughts: I hate IG and all those ads that get me to click on them and then all of a sudden I really want the product. I knew I wanted to order it when I first saw it and read all of the reviews, but it was still in the back of my mind that people like to hype up stuff in order to drive sales. I know that’s not all companies, but some of those videos are just fake and have so many filters on them. I feel like I did my due diligence with going to YouTube and looking at video reviews before finally purchasing. One of the reasons I forgot to mention I wanted something new was because I was sick of oil pulling and I felt as if my teeth progressively got worse after baby #3.

First 3 Weeks of Use: Let me begin by sharing what I purchased. I got the started kit which included: classic  toothbrush, Ela Mint nHa toothpaste (*nHa- nano-hydroxyapatite makes up the primary foundation of teeth and bones), Ela Mint floss, and a rasana tongue cleaner. The packaging was nice and I was ready to see if the hype was real. If you’re like me and are used to “regular” toothpaste, it isn’t uncommon to feel a burn when purchasing something on the minty side. So many reviews stated that in spite of the mint flavor, there was never any burning. It was the TRUTH!!! Y’all, I feel like I was blindsided by some entirely new technology that was kept from me. There was no burn and my mouth was just clean. I’m not a fan on the regular floss so we use flossers, but because it’s a little thicker than normal it had a differently feel when using. Aside from the toothpaste itself, the tongue cleaner was the show stopper. I always brushed my tongue, but the level of clean I’m able to experience now is something very different. I truly feel like when I brush my teeth it’s giving my mouth a spa treatment and I leave out of the bathroom with that “just walked out of the dentist office feeling.” *This is also due to my new electric toothbrush as well, but I know the products make a huge difference*

Was it Worth it: Yes, and I’m not certain I’m going to be able to go back to regular toothpaste. I grew up on Crest and love the newer varieties they have come out with. I also experimented with other brands during my heavy couponing phase and I enjoyed Colgate as well, but nothing I have ever used compares to the way my mouth feels currently with Boka. I even let my baby use it when she brushes her teeth in our room (she has toothbrushes in multiples places). I’ll admit, I’m not getting it for the kids because I’ve seen how wasteful they are with their “pea size” squirt and this is like artisanal level toothpaste. If you’re willing to splurge (I know everyone can’t do this, but truthfully I want the best oral care at home I can give myself because I know how expensive dentists are), this is a must have. IG was right this time and I will definitely be a repeat customer and hopefully one day in the future I’ll be sponsored by them so I can be the face that encourages others to buy it...LOL

What has IG sucked you into purchasing?
