Product: Exfoliating washcloths

Initial Thoughts: Honestly, I had never heard of them. I have always thought exfoliation is a great idea for the skin so I assumed that by using the washcloth my skin would feel nice. I was a little hesitant with how much it could lather, but when people swear by things I try to give it the benefit of the doubt.

How’s it Going: Thanks to my sister in nearly every way but blood (Tia) introducing me back in 2019, I have not used a regular washcloth for my body. I still use them for my face, but that’s it. I definitely liked them enough to introduce them to hubby and after the initial introduction, he’s enjoyed them as well.

Pros:

Price- I’ve been able to find them for cheap so I stockpile them. I buy them for $1.00 so changing them out often isn’t an issue. When traveling, I’ll just grab a new one and find something to store it in for the return trip.

Lather: As far as the lather, it works well with both bar soap and body wash.

Material: Another positive that I like is that it doesn’t hold water the same way a regular washcloth does. It is made of breathable material which allows the water to escape easily.

Skincare: Your skin feels amazing because you are taking away the dead skin while showering. I typically wash with two different types of soaps every shower (One to remove dirt and residue and the other specific to providing extra moisture to the skin). While I know this may not the be case for everyone, it has completely changed how my skin feels coming out of the shower.

Cons:

Feeling- Because its purpose is to exfoliate, it is somewhat abrasive. Unless it’s a micro exfoliant, you should expect some coarseness to aid in the removal of the dead skin. It may take a few showers to get used to that feeling for some, but I feel the benefit outweighs the awkward period..

Is it Worth it: Yes, Yes, and Yes. I would say everyone should use these, but if you have a skin condition that exfoliating could cause irritation I would advise against it. Or, you’d need to work out some of the abrasiveness prior to use. They are cheap enough that if you completely hate it (you shouldn’t) you haven’t wasted a ton of money, but if you love them (and you should) then it’s something that you can keep up. I purchase mine at my local 99 Cents Store, but they also available at Dollar Tree. I highly recommend these to anyone.
