Cleaning products that make my life easier get me hype. One of the areas in my house that consistently causes me issues with cleaning is the baseboards. While they are pretty, they suck because they hold dust like a lint trap and to add difficulty to life…just add in textured walls in Texas and it can be a disaster trying to clean. I’ve tried the mop trick and other stuff like that, but it just doesn’t work for me. When cleaning them, I typically grab a baby wipe and an old toothbrush. The combo might seem odd, but it works. My only issue is that sometimes you have to scrub and baseboards run throughout the entirety of the home …so I needed something to address this. After seeing a few cleaning Tik Tok videos, this product seemed like the perfect fit in the tight space with enough power to get the job done.
Product: Rubbermaid Power Scrubber
Initial Thoughts: Honestly, it looks like a power toothbrush. It’s thicker for sure and has an alternative head that can be used for cleaning the tightest spaces you may encounter while cleaning. Based on the videos I saw, I thought that it would be great for grout and of course baseboards. I recognize that sometimes videos can be deceiving, but I figured since it wasn’t going to cost an entire check it would be worth it. Plus, I could use it in crafting if it just didn’t work at all.
How’s it Going: I purchased mine from Target for about $20.00. There are cheaper alternatives on Amazon, but sometimes I like to get things on the day I want them and if the price difference isn’t too great I’ll just get it. It took me a bit to take it out the package because I’m a little tired of cleaning. It’s one of those things that has to be done, but I live with people that feel like it’s a hobby of mine versus a necessity. I have stressed that my name is NOT Molly (Molly Maids is a cleaning service) and we don’t have maids around here. In spite of that information being put out there continually, I still end up with the bulk of cleaning duty. With that in mind I don’t mind spending money to find the things that will make this easy or at least a little more enjoyable. One of the things I also plan on doing is getting a cleaning service in about once a quarter just for a thorough clean done by a professional. I initially tried to use this without a cleaner on the baseboard and it wasn’t successful, but as soon as I added a little bit of Dawn Powerwash things went pretty quickly. The little section I completed (LOL…I was NOT about to do a bunch since I don’t feel the best) looks almost like move in day.
Is it Worth it: 10/10….I will be going through the majority of the house and hitting the baseboards when I’m cleaning. I’ll definitely add this to my weekly deep clean of the bathroom, but probably not on the cleaning touch ups I do throughout the week. I’m also going to see if I can get a better clean on handles when using this versus cleaner and a sponge. I’m not sure if it’ll yield enough results to make me switch, but there’s nothing wrong with trying it out. I’m also guessing this is will be a great addition when cleaning out window seals after a quick vacuum. I’ve given myself a lot more work than I prefer, but I believe in this product. I’m not saying you have to rush and get this, but I promise you’ll enjoy using this if you do!
What’s a product you’ve purchased this year to make cleaning easier for you?

Absolutely!!
I love cooking hacks that make life easier…especially clean up. Aside from those liners, I use parchment in my baking sheets when cooking meat and veggies in the oven and it has been a game changer!!
Rubbermaid Power scrubber
🏃🏾♀️ 👀 me running to Amazon to look for this Power Scrubber, lol. Thanks for the recommendation. I was just looking at my baseboards in the kitchen yesterday and thinking man I need to clean those but equally thought 🥴😏 I'll do it later 😅😅. I guess this is my sign, lol.

Baseboards
I’m eager to try this hack. I’ve looked at my baseboards in my entryway and get de-energized with every gaze. 😩 😂. Have you ever tried using vinegar in addition to your Dawn detergent?
Hey! Please keep me posted…
Hey! Please keep me posted on how you feel it helped with cleaning. I haven’t used vinegar while cleaning in a few years. Since moving to TX and having to combat hard water stains, I didn’t feel like it was getting the job done.

I’m going to try this product!
I despise cleaning baseboards! I’m going to purchase this and see how I like it.
My go-to product to make cleaning easier for me is crock pot liners. I wish I would’ve thought of it sooner.
