Product: My 3 favorite (current) fragrances

Initial Thoughts: Christmas is slowly approaching and I feel like it only makes sense to share a few items that might make a great gift for someone or yourself. As I’ve mentioned on my social media, I was in search of new scents and I’ve found some that smell amazing. Let me go ahead and say that if you aren’t willing to spend a few coins you may have to get a rollerball or travel spray because these aren’t the cheapest, but they give what needs to be given for sure! As I’ve stated in my blog from last week, there are only a few things I’m willing to splurge on and perfume happens to be one of those things. These aren’t in order, but here they are:

1. Valentino Voce Viva- Based on information found via Google, top notes are Mandarin Orange, Bergamot and Ginger; middle notes are Orange Blossom and Gardenia; base notes are Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Musk, Sandalwood and Oakmoss. I enjoy wearing this for special occasions as well as when I want to wear something nice without it being overwhelming. I don’t get out as much as others, but I’m not one to waste money so I make sure to make the most when I have the chance to wear it. I randomly received this as a sample at the end of 2020 and fell in love. It took me a while to commit since we were still in the house, but once things slowly started opening up I decided to go ahead and take the plunge.

2. Kilian Love, Don’t be Shy- By far the most expensive, but I promise it is worth every penny (to me of course!). I first heard of this via Jackie Aina after she met Rhianna, but I never really found it and of course the price made me a little hesitant. Recently during the Sephora sale, I purchased a sampler pack. Out of each scent included, this is the only one that made me go back again. I have purchased a full sized bottle so that should tell you how much I like it. The notes in this include: Marshmallow, vanilla, and orange blossom. I wish I could explain it, but I honestly have never smelled anything similar. I love this and wear it when I’m going out and am a little dressy. While I know several people have purchased this, I’m almost certain that this scent is not something a lot of people around you will have so that makes this even more of a great buy.

3. Michael Kors Gorgeous!- This is another scent I got as a sample and knew I would have to get a bottle. Out of the 3, I feel this one is the one I’d wear the most on a daily basis. Let me say that I’m not normally into floral scents, but this one won me over. Jasmine, tuberose, ylang and orange flower are said to make up the white floral bouquet. This smells light, but strong enough to catch attention. (I’m not sure if that makes sense, but you won’t pass someone and that’s all they smell unless you are heavy handed).

While I haven’t been to a perfume counter in forever and there are several I want to smell because of the reviews I have read, these are some that I personally have in the stash and I feel I got my money’s worth. What are your go to scents?

What Makes a City Trip Planner Useful?

A useful itinerary planner brings different travel interests together in a structured and practical schedule. There is no need to rely on numerous browser tabs containing maps, recommendations, and saved locations when your attractions can be organized into daily routes. This approach is particularly useful for:

• Weekend getaways. Enjoy the highlights of a brief trip without trying to squeeze too many activities into each day.

• Trips with the whole family. Plan activities that appeal to the whole family while allowing sufficient time for meals and rest.

• First-time visits. Find the city's best-known sights and appealing local locations while keeping some flexibility for surprises.

• Multi-day adventures. Arrange places of interest into balanced daily programs based on their proximity and the time required to explore them.

A successful travel plan should offer structure while preserving the freedom to explore at your own pace. A useful city travel plan makes it easier to enjoy attractions and local experiences while maintaining a relaxed holiday atmosphere.

TOP 5 Ways to Organize a Great City Break

From bustling capital cities to charming smaller towns, thoughtful preparation can make almost any urban getaway more comfortable and rewarding.

1. Begin by setting your sightseeing priorities. Concentrate on destinations that appeal to you most instead of trying to cover the entire city in one trip. Let your personal interests guide your selection of attractions and experiences.

2. Plan visits around nearby locations. A convenient route planner can help create an efficient sequence of sightseeing stops while limiting unnecessary travel.

3. Include a little breathing room. Traffic, queues, and spontaneous discoveries can easily change your plans. Allow yourself some flexibility to pause, relax, or explore an interesting place along the way.

4. Explore on foot. Walking often reveals charming streets, hidden corners, and local spots you might otherwise miss. A carefully arranged pedestrian route helps you enjoy city attractions while reducing unnecessary backtracking.

5. Check practical details. Confirm opening hours, ticket requirements, transport options, and estimated visiting times before leaving.

An enjoyable journey is about more than collecting visits to famous tourist attractions. It's to find a comfortable balance between sightseeing, travel time, and relaxation.

Is It Better to Plan a City Route Yourself?

Organizing your itinerary independently gives you full control over the places you visit. This approach suits travelers who have previous knowledge of the area or genuinely enjoy researching landmarks, evaluating routes, and preparing detailed plans. Still, researching attractions and organizing every stop manually may demand considerable time and attention. Today's digital travel planners help reduce preparation time by supporting attraction discovery, logical route creation, and sightseeing schedules tailored to individual interests. For instance, the RoadMe platform makes it possible to browse attractions on a city map, review existing sightseeing itineraries, and find routes that reflect individual travel interests. For longer city stays, travelers can organize routes across different days to create a more convenient travel plan. Although digital travel planners make preparation easier and more efficient, travelers should still consider local circumstances and their own priorities. Museum opening times, public transportation schedules, and access to popular attractions may vary, making it sensible to verify essential information in advance.

Questions Travelers Ask About City Routes

How many attractions should I visit in one day?

Three or four major stops are often enough, depending on distances and how long you want to spend at each location. Arranging closely situated sights into one walking tour is a practical way to make better use of the hours available.

Should I explore the city on foot or use public transportation?

Walking is often the most enjoyable option in compact city areas with several nearby attractions. For journeys across larger urban areas, using local transport can prevent unnecessary fatigue and save time. Travelers can often achieve the best balance by walking through interesting neighborhoods and relying on public transportation when distances become too great.

Are prepared sightseeing itineraries reliable?

Ready-made routes let you start exploring without spending hours planning everything yourself. They provide a practical sequence for visiting attractions, improving time management and reducing unnecessary movement between locations. It is always advisable to follow a comfortable pace and allow for delays, spontaneous discoveries, or other unexpected events.

How can I create a practical city travel itinerary?

Travelers can access RoadMe through its website at roadme.io. This platform allows travelers to find interesting urban landmarks, examine prepared tourist routes, and organize walking itineraries according to personal preferences and available hours.

About Me

I am a proud wife and mother of three girls ages: 12, 10, and 6. I professionally worked in the social service sector with children and families requiring mental health services, facilitating family reconciliation through mediation and goal planning with the family group support(s), as well as taught introductory psychology over the course of nearly 12 years. The transition from professional to being a homemaker was tough and this blog was birthed from the growing pains. Now, I’m on an entirely different journey of starting an interior decorating business. This blog will hold my life and the ups and downs of trying to figure it out.
